What are views?
Views let you save a custom set of filters as a reusable list. You can use views to track specific work order types, inspection statuses, or any combination of filters you return to often. Views can be kept private or shared with other users in your organization.
How it works
Create a new view
Go to app.visitt.io and open Views from the left sidebar.
Click Create view.
Enter a name for the view.
(Optional) Click Add a description and describe the view's purpose.
Under Dataset, select Work orders, Inspections, or both.
Under Properties, select the specific properties you want the view to cover — or leave it empty to include all properties assigned to you.
Click Add filter to define your filter criteria. You can filter by category, subcategory, status, and more. Add as many filters as needed.
Under Sharing, choose:
Personal — only you can see this view.
Shared — visible to other users. Select the users you want to share it with.
Click Save.
Note: When you share a view, each user sees data based on their own access permissions. If a property in the view is not available to a specific user, they will not see that data.
Use a saved view
Open Views from the left sidebar.
Click on a view name to open it.
Browse the work orders or inspections in the view. The list works like the standard work orders or inspections table — you can interact with and update items directly.
Use the columns selector to show or hide columns.
Use the export option to export the view data.
Update sharing on an existing view
Open the view.
Open the view menu and select Edit.
Under Sharing, change the option between Personal and Shared, or add and remove users.
Click Save.
Edit an existing view
Open Views and click on the view you want to edit.
Open the view menu and select Edit.
Update the name, description, filters, properties, or sharing settings as needed.
Click Save.
Delete a view
Open the view you want to delete.
Open the view menu and select Delete.
Confirm the deletion.
Note: Only the view creator or an admin can delete a view.
Views table
The Views page lists all views available to you — views you created and views others have shared with you. From here you can open, edit, or manage any view.
Common scenarios
Track open HVAC complaints Create a view with the Work orders dataset, filter by Category: HVAC, Subcategories: "Too Hot" and "Too Cold", and Status: Open, In-Progress, On-Hold. Leave the Properties field empty to include all your assigned properties. Name it "Too Hot / Too Cold Calls" so your team can access it any time.
Share a view with a property team Create a view for a specific property's open inspections and set it to Shared. Add the relevant team members. Each user will see only the data they have access to based on their permissions.
Switch a view from shared to personal Open the view, go to Edit, and change the sharing option to Personal. The view will no longer appear for other users.
