Occasionally, you may need to remove duplicate, test, or incorrectly created Work Orders from the system. This article explains how to delete individual Work Orders or remove multiple Work Orders at once, as well as the permissions required to perform this action.
📌 Note: Global Admins and Property Admins assigned to the property where the Work Order was created can delete Work Orders. Users without these permissions will not see the Delete option.
Before You Delete
Before deleting a Work Order, please keep the following in mind:
Work Orders with associated charges cannot be deleted until all charges have been removed.
Deleted Work Orders cannot be restored through Visitt.
If the Work Order has been linked as a duplicate of another Work Order, those duplicate relationships will be removed automatically when the Work Order is deleted.
Deleting Multiple Work Orders (Bulk Delete)
If you need to clean up your dashboard by removing several entries at once, use the bulk delete feature.
Navigate to the Work Orders section in the main menu.
Select All Work Orders from the top navigation bar to view your full list.
Tick the checkbox on the left side of each row for the Work Orders you wish to remove.
Click the Delete button located on the right side of the screen.
Review the pop-up window displaying the list of Work Orders selected for removal.
Click the red Delete button to confirm.
💡 Note: A confirmation window will display all selected Work Orders before they are deleted, allowing you to review your selection before proceeding.
Deleting a Single Work Order
You can delete an individual record directly from its detailed view.
Navigate to the Work Orders section in the main menu.
Click on the specific Work Order you want to delete to open the editing window.
Click the Quick Actions button (the three vertical dots ⋯) in the upper corner of the window.
Select Delete Work Order from the dropdown menu.
Click OK in the confirmation pop-up to finalize.

Why can't I see the Delete option?
Only Global Admins and Property Admins assigned to the Work Order's property can delete Work Orders.
Why can't I delete a Work Order?
If the Work Order contains charges, those charges must be removed before the Work Order can be deleted.
⚠️ Important: Deleting a Work Order is permanent and cannot be undone from within Visitt. Before deleting a Work Order, ensure you no longer need access to its details, attachments, comments, or history.
