Amenities: Setup, Booking Management, and Reservation Rules

Learn how to create and manage Amenities, process tenant reservations, configure booking rules, and oversee Amenity usage across your property.

Written by Zach Kahan

Amenities help property teams offer reservable spaces to tenants in a structured and organized way. Staff can create amenities, configure availability and booking rules, review reservation requests, and manage bookings directly from the Amenities page.

Once an Amenity is configured, tenants can view and book available spaces through Visitt+.

Understanding How Amenities Work

Amenities are created and managed by property staff. Each Amenity can be configured with its own availability, booking rules, pricing, and reservation requirements.

A typical booking workflow looks like this:

  1. A property manager creates an Amenity.

  2. Availability, booking rules, and pricing are configured.

  3. A tenant submits a reservation request through Visitt+.

  4. A booking request and associated work order are created.

  5. Staff review the request and approve, reject, or cancel the reservation.

  6. The tenant can track the booking status from Visitt+.

📌 Permission Note: Global Admins, Property Admins, and Managers with the Amenities permission can create and manage Amenities.

Work Orders and Amenity Bookings

Whenever a tenant books an Amenity, Visitt automatically creates a work order. This allows staff to review the request, track the reservation, and coordinate any preparation required for the space.

Once a booking is submitted, the associated work order can be managed from the Work Orders page.

💡 Important: Completing or closing the work order does not automatically approve, reject, or cancel the booking. Booking status and work order status are managed separately.
