In this article we will go over how to navigate and manage the spaces of your building utilizing the new building structure in Visitt.

General View

In order to reach the Spaces tab, navigate to the My property page through the side bar on the left of your screen and select the Spaces tab. Once you are at this page, you can view all of the Spaces under your building. In order to edit your view, select the Columns button to choose what you would like to be displayed.

If you select the arrow next to the floor, you will be able to view any spaces, subspaces, or equipment within that floor of your building, as shown below.

Space Overview

When you click on a space, you will have a similar page to the one shown below, displaying an Overview page of your floor. Additionally you are able to toggle between the Spaces and Equipment within the selected floor, as well as any Closed Inspections and Work orders assigned to that space. You will also have the option to see a collection of details including Type, Tenant, QR Code, etc.

Creating a Space

Adding a space is done when you want to add a new area to an existing property.

To add a space to your property, start by selecting the relevant building and then click on Spaces.
On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the Create Space option.

In the Create Space window, you will see two options: Base Building Space and Leasable Space.

  • Base Building Space – General building areas shared by tenants (such as lobbies, restrooms, etc.) as well as operational areas (such as mechanical rooms, pump rooms, etc.).

  • Leasable Space – Areas that are leased by tenants (for example: an office/apartment).

💡Note Spaces must be added as Leasable if you want to add them as Leasable spaces on the Tenants page.

Create a Base Building Space

Click on Base Building Space in the top menu, and then enter the name of the space.
After that, choose the type of space and the location (floor or specific area).

Finally, click Create Space.

Create a Leasable Space

Click on Leasable Space in the top menu, and then enter the name of the space.
Then, fill in the type of space and the location (floor or specific area).

In addition, you can specify the leased area (in square meters) and select the tenant leasing the space.

Finally, click Add Space.

💡Note: If you’d like to add another space, turn on the Create Another option and you will automatically be redirected back to this window to create the next one.

Editing a Space

If you would like to edit the space, select the space name at the top of your screen. You will have the option to edit the space, convert it to equipment/floor or to delete it.
