In this article, we will go over how to navigate and manage the floors of your building utilizing the new building structure in Visitt.
General View
In order to reach the Floors tab, navigate to the My Property page through the sidebar on the left of your screen and select the Floors tab.
If you select the arrow next to the floor, you will be able to view any spaces, subspaces or equipment within that floor of your building, as shown below.
Once you are at your floor's page, you can view all of your floors and their level. In order to edit your view, select the Columns button to choose what you would like to be displayed.
Editing Floors
In order to edit a floor, you can simply click on the floor at the top of your page. Once you click on it, you will be able to edit your floor name, convert it to a space, or delete it.
If you would like to edit the floor names and their level, select the Manage floors button. Once you are there, you have the ability to add a new floor, edit the name, and drag the floor to a different level if needed. You also have the ability to create a floor that is at a negative level which is useful for any underground floors you may have in your building.
To add a new floor, select the Add Floor button and name your new floor. Then, you can drag it to your desired level, as shown above.
💡Hint: You can create a new floor above by simply clicking the Tab key. Additionally, to add many floors all at once, you can copy columns from an Excel file and paste them directly to add multiple floors at once.
Floor Overview
When you click on a floor, you will have a similar page to the one shown below, displaying an Overview page of your floor. Additionally, you can toggle between the Spaces and Equipment within the selected floor, as well as any Closed Inspections and Work orders assigned to that space.
