How to Transfer Responsibilities from One User to Another

When a new User joins and takes over the responsibilities of an existing User who is leaving or transitioning to a different role, it's important to properly update the system. This process includes adding the new User, removing the old User, and transferring their responsibilities to ensure a seamless transition.

Add the New User

Before transferring responsibilities, the new User must be added to the system.

Steps:

  • Navigate to the Settings Page > Users tab

  • Click the Add New User button

    Start Adding New User

  • Fill in the required details below and click Create. The new User will be notified via SMS/Email and will be able to log into Visitt immediately.



Remove the Leaving User and Transfer Responsibilities

Once the new User has been successfully added, you can go ahead and remove the old User. During this process, you will also be prompted to transfer their responsibilities to the new User if you like.


Steps:

  • Navigate to the Settings Page > Users tab

  • Search for the User you want to remove

Click on the User to open their profile, then scroll down to the section "Assigned properties" and click "Unassign from property"

⚠️ Note: Unassigning a user will revoke their access to the Property

A dialog box will appear, showing the User's current responsibilities (such as open Work Orders and Inspections).

  • Select the new User to transfer these responsibilities to.

  • Click Submit to confirm the transfer and removal of the old User.

Once completed, the new User will have full access to the assigned responsibilities
