The Visitor Watchlist is a new capability that allows security teams and tenant primary contacts to identify and manage individuals who should not enter the property. It centralizes both expected visitors and restricted visitors in one place- with AI powered matching to help prevent unauthorized access.
How the Watchlist Works
Navigate to Tenants tab > Visitors > Visitor Watchlist
This opens a dedicated view containing all watchlist entries added by admins or tenant primary contacts.
Add and Manage Watchlist Entries
Each entry includes:
Full name
Name variants (AI-assisted when Visitt AI is enabled)
Photo (optional but recommended for security teams)
Action instructions (e.g., Do not allow entry, Call security, Notify tenant)
Added By – Who created the entry
Restricted By – The tenant who reported the individual
Admins can add entries on behalf of any tenant, including selecting which tenant the entry belongs to.
Filter the Watchlist by Tenant
If the property has multiple tenants, you can filter the list to view only the entries belonging to a specific tenant.
Adding a Watchlist Entry
To add a new Watchlist Entry, follow these steps:
Click + New
Select the tenant (admins only)
Enter the full name
Add name variants - AI can generate variants automatically (available only if Visitt AI is enabled)
Add action instructions
Upload a photo (optional)
Click Add to Watchlist
The entry will now appear in the list.
Note: Adding watchlist entries can be done by Admins inside the Visitt app, and by Tenant Primary Contacts inside Visitt+ (only if enabled by the property team).
AI-Powered Match Alerts (Beta)
When an expected visitor is created, Visitt automatically checks for:
Exact name matches
Name variants manually added
AI-generated variants (when Visitt AI is enabled)
If a match is found, Visitt shows a red “Possible Watchlist Match” alert in the Visitors table (next to expected visitors).
Inside the alert, you will find:
The visitor’s name
The matching watchlist entry
A confidence explanation (e.g., Exact match on first and last name)
The tenant who added the restriction
The action instructions
Match alerts appear before arrival
Admins or security staff can then choose how to proceed:
Contact the tenant
Allow check-in
Deny entry
Clear the alert if it's a false match
All current match alerts appear under the “Possible Matches” tab inside the Watchlist.
Note: Nothing prevents check-in unless the team decides to stop access.
Visitt simply ensures no match is missed.
Tenant-Facing Watchlist
Property teams can allow tenant primary contacts to manage their own lists through Visitt+. Tenant self-management is controlled by admins via Admin tab> Tenant App > Settings > Enable Visitor Watchlist for Tenants
When enabled- Tenant primary contacts will see a Watchlist button in Visitt+ and can independently add, edit, or remove entries:
Note: The Watchlist tab is only available on the web browser.
It does not appear in the mobile app or in the mobile (iPhone/Android) web view.
When disabled - The watchlist is hidden from tenants; only admins can manage entries.
Note: Visitt AI feature flag must be ON to enable:
AI-generated name variants
AI-detected match alerts
