In this article, we will guide you through the "Packages" feature within our property management software.

What is the Packages Feature?

In Visitt, the Packages feature allows you to document and manage incoming packages for your tenants. This ensures efficient tracking and notification, making it easier to handle deliveries and pickups.

Adding a Package

To add a new package in Visitt, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Packages Page: From the Visitt side-bar, go to the Packages page.

  2. Add New Package: Click on the Add Package button. You will be prompted to enter various details about the package.

  3. Enter Package Details: Fill in the required information in the fields provided:

    • Contact: Enter the contact information of the recipient (e.g., tenant's name or apartment number).

    • Barcode (QR): Scan or enter the barcode/QR code associated with the package.

    • Courier: Enter the name of the courier service that delivered the package.

    • Additional Info (Notes): Add any additional notes that the tenant will see regarding the package.

  4. Save: Once you've entered all the necessary information, click "Save". The contact will automatically be notified about the package.

Viewing and Editing Package Details

  1. Access Package Information: To view a package, go to the "Packages" page and select the package from the list.

  2. Edit Details: Click on the package to open the information tab. Here you can view the details such as notes, contact information, and courier details. You can also see when the package was created and who created it.

  3. Mark as Picked Up: Once a package has been picked up, you can mark it as "picked up" by toggling the switch button. This action will prompt the contact/tenant to provide an e-signature, confirming the pickup. This ensures a secure and verifiable process for package collection.

Notifications

  • When a package is added, the specified contact will receive a notification. This keeps tenants informed about their deliveries, reducing the likelihood of missed packages.

  • Required e-signature from the contact/tenant upon pickup. This adds an extra layer of security and verification, ensuring that packages are collected by the correct person.

💡Tenants can control their notifications through the app and choose if they want to receive them by email, SMS, or push notifications.

We hope this guide has provided you with a clear understanding of how to use the Packages feature within Visitt.
