Overview:

Automation Will simplifies your work order process by automatically assigning users, and setting priorities. In this tutorial, you'll learn to create and utilize automations to enhance efficiency and productivity in managing work orders.

How Does it Work?

Using Automation is simple. All you need to do is set up a few rules and triggers, and Automation will take care of the rest. For example, you can set a rule that any work order with a priority level of "urgent" will automatically be assigned to a specific team member.

How to Enable Automation

Enabling Automation is easy. Simply go to Work orders> Automation,> and select the add Automation button. From there, you can set up your rules and triggers to fit your specific needs.

Step 1: When

Choose an action that triggers an automation.

If you select an option between the second to fourth options, you will see an updated screen which looks like this:

Now enter a number and its measure of time (Minutes, Hours or Days).

Step 2: With priority

Choose the priority (if needed) of your automated work order.

Step 3: In category

Choose the category (if needed) you would like for it to be added to.

Step 4: Then

This is the action that will happen once the automation goes through. After selecting your choice, you will have the option to set a due date, set a priority, set assigned users or notify users.
